Perfect place for Christmas dinner with the family. We originally had reservations elsewhere but then noticed it was closed despite having reservations.

However, it was to our blessing as Selda was perfect. From the time we got there, the hostess got us in without much of a wait. Service all around were excellent.

We had the best food. The Halloumi was delicious, and fried cauliflower was perfect.

Our entrée were lamb shank, lamb chop, and beef. The lamb chop that I ordered was amazing, and the Turkish rice and salad were truly spectacular.

As full as we were, we wanted to try the desserts, and thank god we did. The kunafa and baklava were divine.

Selda Dallas is another hidden gem I’ve found in the city. I’ll start by saying thank you to the team who made our experience so great. The moment we walked in everyone was so welcoming, and it felt good to know that you are welcomed. We ate dinner on the patio and our server was Firat who was wonderful. All of the food 10/10. The lamb chops were so flavorful and so tender honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. I feel like I shouldn’t tell people about this place and keep it to myself it’s so wonderful. Honestly go here and eat. They also have hookah that you add on to the table. Overall I give this place a 10/10. I’ll return. Thank you to the team at Selda.

Food:

We ordered the mixed grill, grilled eggplant salad, and lahmacun, with the lahmacun being a server recommendation. The grilled eggplant salad was underwhelming, lacking the smoky flavor I expect—2.5/5. The lahmacun, best described as a Turkish pizza, was refreshing with its tomato, cilantro, mint, and red onion salad—3.5/5. The mixed grill looked great but didn’t fully deliver. The chicken lacked seasoning, though it had a smoky flavor—2.5/5. The steak had better texture but similar flavor—3/5. The chicken skewer had more seasoning—3/5, and the beef skewer was the best, with good seasoning—3.5/5. The lamb patty was decent but needed more flavor—3/5. The bean salad and rice were okay, complementing the meats—3/5. Overall, the food earned a 3/5, with room for improvement in seasoning.

Service:

The service left a bit to be desired. While we were seated quickly and got our drinks right away, our water was never refilled, and the server didn’t check on us during the meal. We had to call for the check, which was frustrating. I’d rate the service 2.5/5.

Atmosphere:

The atmosphere was great, with cozy lighting and a family-style feel inside. We sat outside, and the combination of nice weather and the outdoor decor made for a pleasant experience. The vibes were fantastic.

Best Turkish grill I think I’ve had in a long time. Everything from the fresh bread to the mixed grill tasted amazing. Service very friendly and welcoming. Cozy atmosphere. Reasonable prices.

Ok... First of all, the food was pretty excellent. The cauliflower was delicious and the lamb was cooked perfectly. The hummus wasn't great but the little appetizer cheese thing was really good. That said, we (only) took one star off because the service was borderline neglectful. They took forever to even address us when we sat down, the server appeared to be prioritizing everyone and everything else... We'd ask for something and he would run and clear off the table next to us or something unrelated. They forgot the hummus, and then didn't bother to check in at all after we received our food, including for the check and then the payment terminal had hilariously selected 30% tip.

We stumbled upon Selda on a Monday night while looking for a dinner place. I would say that it is one of the best Mediterranean places around this area. Ambiance and service were up to the mark.

They have outdoor seating where you can do hookah. The hookah here is really smooth. We ordered couple of drinks, eggplant salad, lamb chops, Chicken shish, chicken adana, grilled pistachio meatballs and everything tasted great. Would recommend this place to anyone who loves Mediterranean food!

Highly recommend.
The food was incredible and service impeccable. I was so impressed by everything.
The menu had plentiful options and we loved everything we tried. We got the spicy ezme, halloume cheese, urfa kabob, and lamb shish.

The service truly was above and beyond. Our waiter took additional time and actions to explain the menu, and recommended/offered to switch my sides for the lamb shish which was ideal. Couldn't have been more pleased.

The atmosphere is wonderfully decorated and intimate. Only thing is it's a tad loud but it's hard to fix that in a building of that structure.

An absolute gem for authentic Mediterranean cuisine! The chicken adana kebab is perfectly seasoned and grilled, served with fluffy Turkish rice and a fresh bean salad. The presentation is beautiful, and portion sizes are generous.

Their pide (Turkish flatbread) is amazingly fresh, topped with vibrant ingredients and herbs. The saksuka (eggplant dish) is wonderfully prepared with a rich tomato sauce that's perfectly spiced. All dishes show great attention to detail in both preparation and plating.

The atmosphere is cozy and charming with nice wooden tables, comfortable seating, and tasteful black and white portraits on the walls creating an authentic Mediterranean vibe. The service is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Pro tip: Don't skip their homemade bread and definitely try one of their grilled kebabs - they're cooked to perfection with that authentic char flavor. The bean salad that comes with main dishes is a refreshing complement to the grilled meats.

Perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Great value for the quality and quantity of food served. This place truly brings a taste of the Mediterranean to town!
