I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Mediterranean Sharrow Vale ( under the new management ) and it’s safe to say that it has already secured a special place in my heart—and my taste buds.

The ambiance of the restaurant is both inviting and elegant, with a touch of coastal charm that sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making you feel like a valued guest from the moment you walk in.

But let’s get to the star of the show—the food. I started with the shrimps with garlic sauce, which proved to be another culinary triumph. The shrimps were succulent and fresh, perfectly cooked to retain their natural sweetness. The garlic sauce was a masterpiece in itself, bursting with flavor without overpowering the delicate taste of the seafood. It had just the right amount of garlic, balanced with a hint of lemon and fresh herbs, creating a dish that was both vibrant and satisfying.

Next, I indulged in the wild mushrooms tagliatelle, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a delightful al dente texture. The wild mushrooms added an earthy richness that was beautifully complemented by a light, creamy sauce. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, showcasing the chef’s expertise and creativity.

For dessert, I couldn’t resist the fresh cake with yogurt cream and sweet, fresh cherries. This dessert was the perfect ending to a delightful meal. The cake was light and moist, with a subtle sweetness that paired wonderfully with the tangy yogurt cream. The fresh cherries added a burst of natural sweetness and a hint of tartness, making each bite a delightful contrast of flavors and textures. It was a refreshing and satisfying conclusion that left a lasting impression.

In addition to the standout dishes, the menu offers a wide range of other Mediterranean delights that I am eager to try on future visits. The wine list is also impressive, featuring a thoughtful selection of wines that pair beautifully with the seafood-centric cuisine.

Overall, Mediterranean Sharrow Vale has quickly become a go-to spot for seafood lovers and pasta aficionados alike. With its exquisite dishes, warm ambiance, and top-notch service, it promises a dining experience that is both delightful and unforgettable. I recently dined at Mediterranean Sharrow Vale and it was a fantastic experience.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the 160-ounce Tomahawk steak- the best steak we’ve had in forever. This colossal cut of meat was a sight to behold and a joy to savor. Cooked to perfection, it was incredibly juicy and bursting with flavor. The steak’s rich, smoky taste paired wonderfully with the subtle Mediterranean herbs and spices, making it a truly memorable dish. Whether you’re a steak aficionado or simply looking for an indulgent treat, this Tomahawk is a must-try.

Under new management/ownership. Food excellent, service friendly and not imposing. Only minor criticism is the quality of cutlery but otherwise I'd find it difficult to fault.

I had an amazing experience , the Mediterranean food was delicious, especially the seafood platter. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The warm ambiance added to the overall great experience. Highly recommend!

Absolutely Amazing!!
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Mediterranean Sharrow Vale and we were blown away by the quality of the food.
The new owner and Chef have done an amazing job!
The new décor sets the scene from the moment you arrive and you feel like you're actually in the Mediterranean on holiday.
My wife had the mussels to start and I opted for the lamb kofta which was beautifully flavoured and remained juicy.
For mains my wife had the Lobster, Scallop and prawn black spaghetti and I had the 16oz Tomahawk, medium rare. Everything about both of these was perfect.
The staff are very friendly and attentive and service was fantastic.
The drinks menu is extensive with an amazing selection of fine wines, whiskey, and even a 20 year aged Columbian Rum, or if you want a special treat you could order a bottle of Dom Perignon.
We will definitely be back, with a larger party as there are so many delicious options for food.
Definitely worth a visit if you love seafood.

This place has changed dramatically since our last visit. It used to be a special treat sort of restaurant, but now it's more everyday. They seemed to have run out of lots of things from both the food and wine menus. Having said all that, the food they did have was delicious. Atmosphere wise, the lighting was way too bright, there was a table near the door that looked like it was a bit of a dumping ground for paperwork and, randomly, a baseball cap and the few of us who were eating were jammed in to a cluster of tables really close to each other.

I visited the Mediterranean last night. It is under new management and is great. I recommend you try it out. The food was delicious. I thought the prices were very good value for the standard and portion size. I will definitely be going back 🙂
