Three adults visited at lunch time, at first I was hesitant as it seemed small but when you enter you see it has plenty of seats, The lady behind the counter was lovely very welcoming, we had fish chips peas and gravy, the place was very clean, let's talk about the fish cooked to perfection, the batter was perfect and the chips were delicious I myself did not have the gravy or peas from what I understand they were good as well, we had coffee and tea , my friend really wants to stress that cup of tea was perfect . Would Highley recommend, it does have benches outside near by so would be lovely in summer to sit out.
When I say Highley recommend I mean it well worth a visit.

Have been twice in a couple of days while visiting New Brighton , truly recommend . The fish was huge and really tasty full of flavour of fish , not over battered . Will definitely call again .

If the owners attitude is anything to go by, I’m not surprised about the bad reviews for this place. We’ve visited before and had a passable meal, but decided to give them another go whilst out for a sunny walk in new Brighton this evening. After a lovely glass of wine in Marino Lounge we walked over and noticed the ‘cash only’ sign on the door. It was 19.01 so my husband popped his head through the door and asked the owner what time they closed. He said they were open until 7.30 officially but he was looking to close up early and asked if we were after eat in or take out. My hubby let him know we
would be taking out but didn’t have cash. The owner told us if we could get back in the next ten minutes he could sort us out. We ran to the cash point around the corner on Waterloo road and returned at 19.08. Walked in to find no queue and the owner drinking red wine at a table with what we assume was family. Tried to place an order and he told us he was closed despite telling us only 7 minutes earlier that he’d take an order from us. We left and went to Victoria Road Fish and Chips, and judging by the pictures of the food on here and bad reviews of the Mediterranean Sea, the owner did us a favour.

We visit the place first time and we enjoy our food. Lovely portion for the money. Spend £16 for 2 fish&chips and curry sauce. Fresh cook to order , very friendly staff. Give just 4 star because the place need bit of refurbishment.
Doesnt look very pleasant on the inside. But food is very nice.

Had fish chips and peas last night. Chips was only good thing pea had that much soda in couldn't taste anything else fish was disgusting the batter was all soggy inside for 6.50 . The range behind was thick with grease I know it gets greasy but it should be wiped . Lady serving was eating a few chips while we was waiting for the fish then started serving without washing her hands ? What USED TO BE A GOOD CHIPPY HAS GONE TO THE DOGS ALSO COULSNT SEE A HYGEINE RATING CARD ON DOOR OR WINDOW

Food was good, had to wait for a fishcake to be put in but I don't mind, it was really nice. Only accepts cash but that is posted in the window so your aware before entering.

Dont waste your time. Its a half hour wait to pay £2.90 just about enough chips to sit in the bottom of tray.
This food is OK when you get it but they never have enough ready soyou get very little.

Fantastic quality Fish and chips: a seaside classic, cooked perfectly. No matter the weather, get yourself some ( Mediterranean chippy) chips as a treat 👍👍.
